HPE Aruba Networking 630 Series Wi-Fi 6E Campus Access Points for Next-Generation Connectivity

The HPE Aruba Networking 630 Series Campus Access Points bring enterprise-grade tri-band coverage with Wi-Fi 6E technology, leveraging the 6 GHz band to more than double wireless capacity for demanding environments. Delivering an aggregate data rate of up to 3.9 Gbps and supporting up to seven 160 MHz channels, these access points help future-proof your network with ultra-low latency and high throughput. Automated notifications and regulatory updates simplify 6 GHz adoption as countries approve Wi-Fi 6E.

More Capacity and Wider Channels with Wi-Fi 6E

High-Performance Tri-Band Architecture

The HPE Aruba Networking 630 Series delivers a maximum aggregate data rate of 3.9 Gbps, supporting bandwidth-intensive, low-latency applications such as high-definition video streaming, AR/VR, and real-time collaboration tools. By combining three radios to provide comprehensive tri-band coverage, these access points help enterprises address today’s growing number of devices while preparing for future wireless growth. With up to seven 160 MHz channels available in the 6 GHz band, the 630 Series maximizes performance, creating a faster and more reliable user experience in dense environments.

Designed for Low Power Indoor Environments

Built specifically for low power indoor (LPI) deployments, the 630 Series enables organizations to utilize the newly available 6 GHz spectrum without disrupting existing 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. This design ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while delivering higher throughput and wider channel availability.

Less Interference and Fewer Coverage Gaps

Ultra Tri-Band Filtering for Clean Airspace

The 630 Series includes unique HPE Aruba Networking 630 ultra tri-band filtering technology that mitigates interference between the 5 GHz and 6 GHz radios. This reduces channel overlap and prevents coverage gaps that can impact performance, helping ensure that users experience consistent connectivity across all frequencies. Because only Wi-Fi 6E-capable devices can operate in the 6 GHz band, networks remain uncongested by legacy clients, delivering faster and more predictable performance.

Dedicated Radios for Optimized Coverage

Each radio in the 630 Series has been engineered to deliver optimal range and performance for its specific band. This tri-radio design provides broader coverage and more capacity than dual-radio alternatives, making it easier to support multiple device types and traffic demands without sacrificing speed or stability.

Extends the Capabilities of Wi-Fi 6

Enhanced Multi-User Efficiency and Security

Based on the 802.11ax standard, the HPE Aruba Networking 630 Series brings all the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 to the 6 GHz band. Multi-user efficiency features such as OFDMA and MU-MIMO are combined with advanced security capabilities like WPA3 encryption to protect data in transit. These features ensure that organizations can scale capacity while maintaining enterprise-grade protection for users and devices.

Advanced Aruba Innovations

HPE Aruba Networking 630 unique capabilities further optimize performance and power efficiency. ClientMatch technology automatically steers devices to the best available access point, eliminating sticky client issues and improving roaming. Advanced Cellular Coexistence minimizes interference from nearby LTE and 5G networks, while Intelligent Power Monitoring dynamically adjusts power consumption based on usage and environmental conditions, reducing operational costs without compromising service quality.

Ensures Business Continuity and High Availability

Dual Ethernet Ports for Hitless Failover

The 630 Series is equipped with two HPE Smart Rate Ethernet ports supporting speeds up to 2.5 Gbps. This dual-port architecture delivers true hitless failover for both data and power, protecting against outages and ensuring uninterrupted service for mission-critical applications. Whether you are streaming high-definition video, supporting collaboration tools, or managing IoT workloads, the 630 Series keeps your network resilient and always available.

Flexible Deployment Options

Designed to meet a range of deployment scenarios, the 630 Series supports cloud-managed, controller-based, or controllerless operation modes. This flexibility makes it simple to integrate into existing HPE Aruba Networking infrastructure, whether in campus headquarters, branch offices, or remote locations. Organizations can adapt their management approach as needs evolve without replacing hardware.

Regulatory considerations for AP-634:
The AP-634 will be offered in countries where there is an existing or clear and defined path to allow operation of 6 GHz radios with external connectorized antennas, either as a low power indoor or standard power  product. Please contact your HPE Aruba Networking representative to confirm (existing or planned) availability for the country where the AP will be deployed.

Wi-Fi antennaAP-634 (external antenna support): Two sets of two (female) RP-SMA connectors for external antennas (A0 & A1 corresponding with radio chains 0 and 1 for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios, and B0 and B1 corresponding with radio chains 0 and 1 for the 6 GHz radio). Worst-case internal loss between radio interface and external antenna connectors: 1.0 dB in 2.4 GHz, 1.0 dB in 5 GHz and 1.0 dB in 6 GHz.

AP-635 (internal antenna): Integrated downtilt omni-directional antennas for 2×2 MIMO with peak antenna gain of 4.6 dBi in 2.4 GHz, 7.0 dBi in 5 GHz and 6.3 dBi in 6 GHz. Built-in antennas are optimized for horizontal ceiling mounted orientation of the AP. The downtilt angle for maximum gain is roughly 30 to 40 degrees.
Combining the patterns of each of the antennas of the MIMO radios, the peak gain of the combined, average pattern is 2.9 dBi in 2.4 GHz, 4.9 dBi in 5 GHz and 4.3 dBi in 6 GHz.
